1. B.A.LL.B. (Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Legislative Law)

The B.A.LL.B. program is a 5-year integrated course that blends the disciplines of Arts and Law. This program is an excellent option for students who have just completed their higher secondary education and wish to pursue a career in law directly after school. By combining arts subjects with legal studies, the course ensures a well-rounded education that prepares students not only for the legal field but also for various career paths that benefit from a strong understanding of both disciplines.

  • Course Duration: The program lasts for 5 years, with 2 semesters conducted per year, making it a total of 10 semesters. This structure allows students to progress steadily while ensuring a deep understanding of both arts and legal subjects.

  • Eligibility Criteria: The basic eligibility for admission into the B.A.LL.B. program is passing the 12th grade (higher secondary) from a recognized board in any stream (science, commerce, or arts). However, the minimum percentage required for admission varies by category:

    • General Category: Candidates must have secured at least 45% in their 12th-grade examination.
    • OBC Category: Similarly, a minimum of 45% is required.
    • SC Category: For candidates in this category, the minimum requirement is 40% in the 12th grade.
  • Mode of Admission: Admission can be obtained either through direct application or through a counseling process. This provides flexibility for students to either apply based on merit or seek admission through a standardized counseling system that matches students with available seats based on their eligibility and performance.

  • Documents Required for Admission:

    • A photocopy of the 10th-grade mark sheet to verify date of birth and basic qualifications.
    • A photocopy of the 12th-grade mark sheet to verify the eligibility criteria.
    • A photocopy of the candidate’s Aadhar card as proof of identity and citizenship.
    • Two recent passport-sized photographs to be used for student records and identification purposes.

This integrated program is highly beneficial for students who wish to start their legal education right after school. By incorporating subjects like political science, sociology, and economics alongside legal education, the B.A.LL.B. provides students with a broader perspective, making them versatile professionals suited for careers not only in law but also in civil services, governance, and other social sciences fields.

2. LL.B. (Bachelor of Legislative Law)

The LL.B. is a 3-year program designed for students who have already completed their graduation in any stream and now wish to specialize in law. • Course Duration: The LL.B. program spans 3 years, divided into 6 semesters, with 2 semesters per year. This provides students with a structured approach to mastering the field of law through a step-by-step learning process. Each semester focuses on different aspects of legal studies, including constitutional law, criminal law, civil law, and other specialized areas.

  • Eligibility Criteria: Admission to the LL.B. program is open to graduates from any recognized university or institution.
